Continuous Security for Celestia

We are excited to announce that Celestia has integrated QED into its development process for continuous security assessment.

Celestia is a high-performance modular data availability network. Its data availability sampling design allows light nodes to verify that block data is available without downloading entire blocks. The protocol continues to move quickly. Celestia recently introduced Fibre, a new data availability protocol designed to deliver 1 Tb/s of blockspace for high-throughput applications.

Over the past two months, QED has worked closely with Celestia’s protocol team. This collaboration has resulted in substantial progress in strengthening the protocol’s security.

Specifically, the team used QED to:

• Conduct adversarial reviews of production code
• Conduct PR- and feature-scoped reviews of gnarly changes
• Preemptively address vulnerabilities in nontrivial dependencies

We will continue this work so that our friends at Celestia can keep building at the remarkable pace they have set and deliver the fast, abundant blockspace their ecosystem deserves.
